30th Wedding Anniversary Card
Something a little vintage has been happening in my craft space this week. I’ve hardly used my Tim Holtz idea-ology collection I’ve been building over a number of years – it’s definitely time to fix that! As such, it was an absolutely joy to make this card for dear friends who recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
I began by taking a white piece of card and layered it with 3 large collage strips. This was trimmed and edged with ‘Vintage Photo’ distress ink before being splattered with ‘Frayed Burlap’ and ‘Salvaged Patina’ Distress Spritz spray and some white ink. This provided the background for the card. This was then mounted onto black card.
Some idea-ology elements were chosen to add interest to the card. This included a couple of paperdolls, a flower from the Botanical layers collection whilst, a couple of clippings add a message of love for the happy couple. For the numbers and writing I used Sizzix Celebration Words (Script) & Countdown die sets using white linen card sprayed with ‘Salvaged Patina’ Distress Spray Stain.
Finally, the card was completed by mounting the background to a white card blank. A few sequins and gems finish off the card with a sparkle.
I really enjoyed trying out a new making style – it won’t be the last!
