Citrus Zing - August 2025 Visible Image ATC Swap

 

ATC

‘Citrus Zing’ is the theme for the August 2025 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. I was inspired by the citrusy zing of blood oranges & grapefruit for my make this month. For my ATC I chose to use ‘Beautiful Life’, ‘Round in Circles’, ‘A Friend Like You’ and the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp sets. All available from Visible Image.

To begin, I took an ATC sized piece of white card and blended ‘Picked Raspberry and, ‘Spiced Marmalade’ distress inks over the ATC before splattering over a few water droplets. When dry, the numbers from the ‘Beautiful Life’ collection were stamped onto the ATC using the same colours of distress inks.

Secondly, one of the circle sets from the ‘Round in Circles’ stamp set was stamped onto the ATC using Versamark and Heat embossed with Wow superfine metallic gold rich embossing powder. Further background elements from the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp set were stamped onto the ATC using white Brilliance archival ink. . Some ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress spritz and white Posca paint splatters finished off the background.

Up next, the sunshine from ‘Rise and Shine’ was stamped onto a separate piece of card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was fussy cut out before ‘Scattered Straw’ distress ink was used to colour in the sun. The edges were blended with ‘Spiced Marmalade’ and ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress ink to give the sun some definition whilst some wink of stella glitter pen and white gel pen was used for added highlights.

The sentiment from the ‘A Friend Like You’ was stamped onto some black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine metallic gold rich embossing powder before being fussy cut out.

Finally, the sentiment and the sun were layered onto the ATC using 3D mounts or acrylic glue. Some sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.

For the card I sent along with my ATC all the way to Australia I chose to use ‘Beautiful Life’, ‘Round in Circles’, ‘A Friend Like You’ and the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp sets. All available from Visible Image.
