Dance Like No-One is Watching

 

‘Dance like no-one is watching’ is this month’s theme for a little tag swap I participate in. I do love background stamping tags so I’ve had a lovely time getting grungy and setting this against a fab Tim Holtz idea-ology paper doll.

I started by taking a white Dina Wakley tag and sprayed it with ‘Uncharted Mariner’, ‘Old Paper’, ‘Shabby Shutters’ & ‘Bundled Sage’ Distress spray stains. A few splatters of water followed. The background was then stamped with the large hearts from the Stampers Anonymous ‘Watercolor’ stamp set using ‘Uncharted Mariner’ distress ink. These were heat embossed with Wow regular clear gloss embossing powder.

Up next, the ‘Concerto’ stencil also from Stampers Anonymous was placed over the top and ‘Bundled Sage’ distress ink blended through it. The whole tag was then splattered with ‘Bundled Sage’ Distress Spritz spray and white ink.

To add some dimension to the tag I stamped the butterfly from the ‘Perspective’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ ink and heat embossed with Wow regular clear gloss embossing powder before fussy cutting out & colouring with ‘Tattered Rose’ and ‘Uncharted Mariner’ Distress ink.

Finally, the tag was mounted onto some black card. The idea-ology ballet dancer paper-doll, idea-ology clippings, silver gems and threads give the final flourish.
