Hipster Bunny Tag
I started by taking a white Dina Wakley tag and blended ‘Kitsch
Flamingo’, ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’, ‘Twisted
Citron’ and ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink onto it before adding a splatter of
water. After drying, the ‘egg dye’ stamp from the ‘Mr Rabbit’ stamp set was
stamped onto the background using the same colours of distress inks.
The stencil included in the ‘Hipster Bunny’ stamp set was up
next – distress inks in ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ were blended
through the ‘tartan’ piece before distress opaque grit paste was smoothed through
the other section to add a bit of texture to the tag background.
For the main image, the bunny and other elements from the
same set were stamped out onto white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’
black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing
powder. These were fussy cut out and coloured in using watercolour pencils and
a wink of stella glitter pen for a bit of sparkle.
Finally, the tag was mounted onto some black and white
hammered card. The bunny was layered onto the tag using acrylic glue and 3D
mounts before some white ink, water droplet gems and ribbon give the final
flourish.
I loved this tag make and with Easter just around the corner
they’ll be a perfect go-to for those makes too.
