Easter Bunny Card

 

EASTER LOADING…. I’ve not made Easter cards for a couple of years and so I was determined to change that this year and to also use some things in my crafty stash that feel a little neglected!

For my first Easter card I’ve chosen the bunny from the 'Easter Blueprint' set from Tim Holtz & Stampers Anonymous alongside some background stamps from the ‘Mr Rabbit’ stamp set.

I started by taking a piece of white card and sprayed it with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Salty Ocean’ and ‘Peacock Feathers’ distress spray stain. After drying, the ‘egg dye’ stamp from the ‘Mr Rabbit’ stamp set was stamped onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink (4th generation). The other background elements from the same stamp set were stamped onto the background using ‘Prize Ribbon’ distress ink.

For the main image, the bunny from the ‘Easter Blueprint’ set was stamped out onto the background and white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The 2nd bunny was fussy cut out and coloured in using ‘Vintage Photo’, ‘Walnut Stain’ and ‘Rusty Hinge’ distress inks before heat embossing with Versamark and Ranger Ultra Thick embossing powder. The background was edged in ‘Vintage Photo’ distress ink for that grunge effect.

Finally, the background was mounted onto some black and white card as well as a white card blank. The bunny was layered onto the tag using acrylic glue and 3D mounts before some white ink, water droplet gems and ribbon finish off the card.

Now I just need a chocolate bunny to make it the perfect Easter!
