Spiralling & Rose Moments

 

Have you checked out the brand new collection from Visible Image? I’m loving the ‘Rose Moments’ stamp set from the ‘Grunge Florals’ release. It’s perfect for greetings and other friendship cards – and with Mother’s Day around the corner this will look perfect on those special makes too. For my DT creation this week I’ve teamed up this marvellous set with the amazing ‘Spiralling’ stamp set.

Here are some stepped instructions as to how I made this card:

Background

• Spray ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Twisted Citron’ distress spray stain onto a white piece of card. Leave to dry naturally.
• Stamp the large spiral and circles from the ‘Spiralling’ stamp set onto the card background with ‘Salty Ocean’ and ‘Mowed Lawn’ distress ink (1st and 2nd generation).
• Spritz with white ink and distress spritz sprays in ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Twisted Citron’.

Focal Image & Sentiment

• Stamp the rose from the ‘Rose Moments’ stamp set onto another piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. Heat emboss with Wow superfine clear embossing powder and fussy cut out. Colour in with ‘Candied Apple’ distress ink.
• Stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set onto white card using the same black ink and fussy cut out.

Completion

• Mount the background onto some black card and a white card blank. Add the rose and sentiment using 3D foam mounts plus a few small sparkly gems for interest.

I love the bright vibes of this card and how the rose stands out. I can’t wait to see the roses bloom this Spring and Summer.

Top Tip: Use contrasting colours for your backgrounds to make your focal image pop.
