Rose Moments

 

I love this new rose stamp from Visible Image. It’s part of the brilliant new ‘Grunge Florals’ collection – out now. For my third sample I’ve teamed up this new 'Rose Moments' stamp set with the amazing ‘Grunge Greetings’ stamp set and ‘Rotation’ stencil.

Up first, I took a white piece of card and sprayed it with ‘Picked Raspberry’, ‘Wilted Violet’ and ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress spray stains before splattering with a few water droplets. The square and circle elements from the ‘Rose Moments’ stamp set were then stamped onto the background using the same colours of distress inks.

The ‘Rotation’ stencil was placed over the top of the background and distress opaque grit paste smoothed through it before putting to one side. The edge of the background was then brushed with ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress ink.

For the grungy rose image I grabbed another piece of white card and stamped the image from the ‘Rose Moments’ stamp set onto it using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was fussy cut out and coloured in using ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress ink and a wink of stella pen.

For the sentiment from the ‘Grunge Greetings’ set - this was stamped onto some white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder and fussy cutting out.

Finally, the background was mounted onto some black card and a white card blank. The rose and sentiments were layered onto the card using 3D mounts and acrylic glue before some sparkly gems were added for interest.

Top Tip: Use different sized gems to add a bit of sparkle to your makes.
