Happy Bunny - Valentine's Card

Okay, if like me you leave these things to the last minute here’s a quick Valentine’s clean and simple card for a loved one. For this make I’ve used the delightful ‘Happy Bunny’ stamp set alongside the wonderful ‘Light Trail’ stencil. All available from Visible Image.

Stencil Background
  • Place the ‘Light Trail’ stencil over a piece of white card and blend ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress ink through it. Remove stencil & leave to dry.

Focal Image, Elements & Sentiment
  • Stamp the bunny from the ‘Happy Bunny’ stamp set over the top of the stencil image using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. Heat emboss with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
  • Stamp the hearts from the same stamp set onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Strawberry’ ink. Colour some of the hearts with ‘Worn Lipstick’ distress ink.
  • Stamp the sentiment onto a small piece of white card in the same way. Fussy cut out and mount onto some black card using acrylic glue.

Completion
  • Mount the background onto some pink card and a white card blank. Add the sentiment and a few small sparkly gems for interest.
If you love clean and simple cards then give this a go. The other sentiments from the ‘Happy Bunny’ stamp set are also great for alternative greetings cards including those for Easter.

Top Tip: Use a stamping platform to centralise a focal image on your card background.
