Winter Wonderland Tag

There’s continued rumours that we’re due another icy blast here in the UK. So I’m jumping back into wintry makes, this time for a creation I made as part of a little tag swap. I’ve used some fabulous Tim Holtz Sizzix and Stampers Anonymous goodies to spread some cheer during these cold days.

For this make I started by taking a size 8 tag by Dina Wakley and blending ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Blueprint Sketch’ distress ink around a moon mask (leaving space at the base of the tag to look like snow). Up next, I added the tree stamp from Stampers Anonymous using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed it with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Some script text from the same stamp set was used to add some detail to the background – stamped in ‘Blueprint Sketch’ distress ink (2nd generation).

To add some texture I blended some distress opaque grit paste through a stencil I had received with a Stamptember stamp set a couple of years ago. The deers were die cut out and ‘Vintage Photo’ and ‘Gathered Twigs’ distress ink used to colour them in.

Finally, the tag was mounted onto some black and white hammered card before the deers, a few gems, threads and idea-ology quote chip were added.

I had great fun making this tag and can’t wait until the next swap!
