Spread Your Wings

 

It’s time… ‘Time to Fly’. Delighted to share my first sample from this fabulous new ‘re-imagined’ release from Visible Image. For this simple make I’ve used the amazing ‘Spread Your Wings’ stamp set.

First of all I took a white piece of card and sprayed it with ‘Uncharted Mariner’ and ‘Old Paper’ distress spray stain. Some fine water mist was used to disperse the ink. After this dried I stamped the focal image onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Twilight’ navy blue ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The sentiment from the same set was stamped onto the background using the same ink before heat embossing in the same way. ‘Uncharted Mariner’ distress ink was then blended around the edge of the card background.

Up next, the birds were stamped randomly over the top of the focal image using ‘Peeled Paint’ distress ink.

Finally, the background was mounted onto some black card and a white card blank & some sparkly gems added for interest.

Top Tip: Use lots of water mist alongside the distress spritz spray to get the washed out effect. Try it using different distress spray stain colours.
