That Lovin' Feline - CAS Card

 

Did you watch the new Tom Daley knitting show last weekend? I was in awe of the creations the makers came up with, full of texture and creativity. I love to crochet and enjoy many cosy comforts now the wintry days and nights are drawing closer. For our DT makes this week the theme is ‘Hygge’ – such a perfect theme for this time of year. For this fairly clean and simple make I’ve use the ‘That Lovin’ Feline’ and ‘Knitted’ stamp sets. For my card I’ve drawn upon inspiration from the show and given these little cats some warm and colourful jumpers. All products are available from Visible Image.

For this simple make I took a white piece of card and stamped the ‘Knitted’ stamp set onto the bottom of the card using Versafine Clair ‘Lilac Bloom’ purple ink. Whilst that dried I then stamped out a selection of cats from the ‘That Lovin’ Feline’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink onto some scraps of white card before fussy cutting these out. (You could use the matching dies if you have them available to you.) 

The cats were then coloured in using ‘Picked Raspberry’, ‘Wilted Violet’ and ‘Salty Ocean’ distress inks as well as some colouring pencils. You will also notice the bird and paw-print from the stamp set. 

Up next the sentiment from the ‘That Lovin’ Feline’ stamp set was stamped onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink.

Finally, the background was added to some black card and a white card blank. The cats were added to the card using acrylic glue and 3D mounts. Some very small sparkly gems were also added for a little glitz.

I really enjoyed this simple make and it’ll be perfect to wish my cat loving friends well as we head into the festive season.
