Mr Frostie Tag 2025

 

It’s time for ‘Mr Frostie’ to make a festive appearance for those little Christmas tags! Here’s one I made for a crafty group swap using an array of Tim Holtz goodies.

I started by taking a white Dina Wakley tag and blended ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Lost Shadow’ distress ink over it before edging in ‘Stormy Sky’ distress ink. I then stamped one of the elements from the ‘French Marketplace’ Stampers Anonymous stamps onto the background using the same ‘Stormy Sky’ ink.

The branches from the ‘Mr Frostie’ stamp set were stamped over the top of the blended background using Versafine Clair ‘Pinecone’ brown ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The snowflakes from the same set were stamped using Versamark before being heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder or Wow sparkling snowflake embossing powder. I then sprayed some ‘Hickory Smoke’ distress spritz spray over the top.

‘Mr Frostie’ was stamped out onto another piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed using Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was fussy cut out and coloured in with watercolours and a Zig pink pen.

Next up, I die cut some of the Sizzix ‘Scribbly Snowflakes’ from some white card.

Finally, all the elements were added to the tag using 3D or acrylic glue. Some black & white card, mini sparkly gems, idea-ology Christmas greeting stickers and grey furry ribbon were added to finish the tag with a flourish.
