All About Books - Visible Image ATC Swap - November 2025
ATC
‘All About Books’ is the theme for the November 2025 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. When I was younger I wanted to go into children’s book publishing and even illustrated a little book for one of my A-levels! That dream has long since drifted away, however, for my ATC this month I was inspired by the wintry tales of Narnia in ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ by CS Lewis. For my ATC this month I’ve used the ‘Into the Woods’, ‘Sketched Tulips’, ‘Sketched Snowflakes’ and ‘Change Direction’ stamp sets. All available from Visible Image.
To begin, I took an ATC sized piece of white card and sprayed it with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Shaded Lilac’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress spray stains before splattering with a few water droplets and going around the edge of the ATC with ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink. Up next, the background tree-scapes from ‘Into the Woods’ were stamped onto the ATC using Versafine Clair ‘Glamorous’ pink ink followed by Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. These were heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
I do love a snowy scene, so the ‘Sketched Snowflakes’ were added to the ATC using Versamark and heat embossed with either Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder or sparkling snow embossing powder. They look so sparkly! The text from the ‘Sketched Tulips’ set was then added over the top using Versafine Clair ‘Arctic Blue’ ink (2nd generation).
For the sentiment I stamped the quote from the ‘Change Direction’ stamp set onto some spare card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ ink and heat embossed that with Wow superfine clear embossing powder. The card had also been sprayed with the same colours of distress ink. The sentiment was fussy cut out and glued onto the ATC.
Finally, a few Posca white paint splatters, a little wink of stella glitter pen and some sparkly gems were added for additional wintry glitz.
I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.

Card
Each month I take part in the Visible Image ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. This month the challenge was to create an ATC with the theme of ‘All About Books’. One of my favourite books when much younger was from the Chronicles of Narnia – the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - by CS Lewis - made even more prominent by the popular film franchise. For the gatefold card I sent alongside the ATC I’ve used the ‘Into the Woods’, ‘Sketched Tulips’, ‘Sketched Snowflakes’, ‘Splash of Whisky’ and ‘Change Direction’ stamp sets.
There are two parts to this card to add a little surprise element. As the story of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ unfolds we learn how the children find ‘Narnia’. I wanted to recreate a little magic by creating a little wardrobe gatefold card for my ATC recipient to open.
Outside of the Card
To create the wardrobe effect I stamped the wooden plank from the ‘Splash of Whisky’ stamp set multiple times onto some white card using Versafine Clair ‘Acorn’ brown ink. These were coloured in using ‘Vintage Photo’ and ‘Walnut Stain’ distress ink before being fussy cut out and layered onto the folds of a gatefold card. Some ‘Scorched Timber’ distress ink was used to edge the planks before a couple of brown small buttons were added using small 3D mounts. The back of the card was covered in black card to give the card some additional strength.
Up first, I lined the gatefold card with black card, leaving space for the original card folds which I coloured in using a black Sharpie. Some of the larger snowflakes from the ‘Sketched Snowflakes’ were stamped onto it using Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink.
I then created 3 panels for the inside of the card in a similar way to the ATC. I took 3 pieces of white card and sprayed them with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Shaded Lilac’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress spray stains before splattering with a few water droplets and going around the edge of the cards with ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink. Up next, the background tree-scapes from ‘Into the Woods’ were stamped onto the cards using Versafine Clair ‘Glamorous’ pink ink followed by Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. These were heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
The ‘Sketched Snowflakes’ were added to each panel using Versamark and heat embossed with either Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder or sparkling snow embossing powder. The text from the ‘Sketched Tulips’ set was then added over the top using Versafine Clair ‘Arctic Blue’ ink (2nd generation). One of the owls from the ‘Into the Woods’ stamp set was stamped onto the larger panel using the same blue ink.
For the sentiment I stamped the quote from the ‘Change Direction’ stamp set onto some black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder before fussy cutting out.
A few Posca white paint splatters, a little wink of stella glitter pen and some sparkly gems were added to each panel for additional wintry effects.
Finally, the panels were mounted onto 2 pieces of white card (to make them pop) and glued into the inside of the card. A little brown textured thread was then tied around the buttons to enable to recipient to unveil the inside of the card. A little bit of magic as we head into the winter months I hope you agree!
