'Say it with Words' - September 2025 Visible Image ATC Swap

ATC

‘Say it with Words’ is the theme for the September 2025 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. From time to time I experience a loss of my ‘crafty mojo’. I have no idea where it goes – I’m sure it has a lovely holiday before returning again. One of the best pieces of advice I received for moments like those is to ‘CREATE’. So, that’s the word I’ve chosen for this month’s challenge. For my make I’ve used the ‘Ink Splats’, ‘One Kind Word’ and ‘Imagine Dream Inspire’ stamp sets. All available from Visible Image.

To begin, I took an ATC sized piece of white card and blended ‘Salvaged Patina’. ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ and ‘Worn Lipstick’ distress inks over the ATC before splattering over a few water droplets. When dry, a couple of the elements from the ‘Ink Splats’ were stamped onto the background using ‘Peacock Feathers’ and ‘Worn Lipstick’ distress inks. The words from the ‘Imagine Dream Inspire’ stamp set were then stamped over the top before the main ‘Create’ stamped image was created with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder

Up next, the typewriter from the ‘One Kind Word’ stamp set was stamped onto a separate piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was fussy cut out before ‘Salvaged Patina’ distress ink was used to edge it. The text from ‘Inspire Dream Create’ was then stamped onto it using ‘Peacock Feathers’ distress ink.

Finally, the typewriter was layered onto the ATC using 3D mounts (cutting off the bits over the edge of the ATC). Some Posca white paint splatters and sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks @jane.tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.

Card

I do love to receive happy snail mail in the post. Taking part in the monthly Visible Image ATC Swaps is a perfect crafty way to say ‘hello’ to fellow creatives as well as a chance to create something unique specifically for them. ‘Say it with Words’ is the theme for the September 2025 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. For the card I sent alongside the ATC I still chose to focus on the word & meaning of ‘CREATE’ but this time inspired by my love of these great ATC swaps. For my make I’ve used the ‘Love of ATCs’, ‘Ink Splats’, ‘One Kind Word’ and ‘Imagine Dream Inspire’ stamp sets. All available from Visible Image.

To begin, I took a piece of white card and sprayed it with ‘Salvaged Patina’. ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ and ‘Worn Lipstick’ distress spray stains before splattering over a few water droplets. When dry, a few of the ‘Ink Splats’ were stamped onto the background using ‘Peacock Feathers’ and ‘Worn Lipstick’ distress inks. This was followed by some ‘Salvaged Patina’ and ‘Worn Lipstick’ distress spritz spray and Posca white paint splatters. The background was then edged with the same colours of distress inks. The ‘CREATE’ sentiment from ‘Imagine Dream Inspire’ was stamped directly onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.

The ink splat envelopes from the ‘Love of ATCs’ stamp set were stamped out in the same way and fussy cut out before being edged with ‘Wilted Violet’, ‘Salvaged Patina’, ‘Worn Lipstick’, ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ and ‘Twisted Citron’ distress ink.

Finally, the typewriter and envelopes were layered onto the card using 3D mounts. Some sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks @jane.tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.
