Fly High

 

I can’t quite believe it’s August already. I hope you have lots of fun summer crafting lined up. Did you know there’s a brand new stamp and stencil launch out now from Visible Image? For another sample from the ‘Love of Nature’ collection I’m sharing a card made with the brand new ‘Fly High’ stamp set.

To begin, I took a piece of white card and sprayed ‘Saltwater Taffy’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ and ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ Distress spray stains over the surface. A few water splatters adding a little interest to the background before some additional stamping from the ‘Fly High’ stamp set using the same colours in distress inks. The butterflies from the stamp set were then stamped onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder

On a separate piece of white card the butterflies from the stamp set were stamped out again using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. These were then fussy cut out and edged with a black permanent marker and covered in Wink of Stella glitter pen – lovely sparkle!

The sentiments from the same stamp set were stamped onto a piece of black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. These were fussy cut out.

Finally, the butterflies and sentiments were added to the card using 3D mounts and acrylic glue. Some Posca white and black paint splats, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress spritz spray and sparkly gems gave a final touch of glitz to the card. Perfect for a greeting’s card to send to a dear friend.
