Brighter Days and Atmospheric Tag
To begin, I took a size 8 Dina Wakley white tag and sprayed it with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Blueprint Sketch’ and ‘Chipped Sapphire’ distress spray stain. A few water splatters were added over the top.
Up next, the ‘Atmospheric’ stencil was randomly placed on top of the background and ‘Blueprint Sketch’ distress ink blended through it. Some Distress opaque grit paste was also smoothed through the stencil and left to dry. The circles of the ‘Brighter Days’ stamp set were then stamped onto the tag using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine metallic silver embossing powder. The smaller dragonfly was stamped around the tag using Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.
Each of the larger dragonflies were stamped onto a separate piece of white card using Versafine ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. These were then fussy cut out and coloured in with a wink of stella glitter pen.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped onto a piece of black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder before being fussy cut out.
Finally, the dragonflies and sentiment were added to the tag using 3D mounts and acrylic glue. Some Posca white paint splats, ‘Hickory Smoke’ distress spritz spray, metallic embroidery thread and sparkly gems gave a final flourish to the tag. Perfect to add to a birthday present this summer!
