Red, White and Blue - Visible Image ATC Swap May 2025

‘Red, White and Blue’ was the theme for the May 2025 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. For my ATC I chose to use the ‘Beautiful Life’ stamp set – it’s such a lovely set.

To begin, I took an ATC sized piece of white card and blended ‘Candied Apple’ and ‘Salty Ocean’ distress inks over the surface before splattering a few water droplets over the top. Background elements from ‘The ‘Beautiful Life’ stamp set were stamped onto the ATC using the same coloured distress inks before the main floral image was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.

The sentiment was then stamped onto the ATC using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.

Finally, some Posca white paint splatters and sparkly gems were added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.

Card

May saw the 80th anniversary of VE Day that inspired the ‘Red, White and Blue’ theme for the Visible Image ATC swap over on the Facebook Group. Here’s the card I made to go alongside the ATC using the lovely ‘Beautiful Life’ stamp set.

To begin, I took a piece of white card and sprayed it with ‘Candied Apple’ and ‘Salty Ocean’ distress spray stains. Background elements from the ‘Beautiful Life’ stamp set were stamped onto the background using the same colours in distress ink.

Up next, the main floral image from the ‘Beautiful Life’ stamp set was stamped three times onto the card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.

A splattering of white Posca paint and distress spritz spray in ‘Worn Lipstick’ and ‘Tumbled Glass’ followed.

Finally, the card was mounted onto a black card blank. Some sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.
