Live in the Moment
Stepped Instructions:
1) Background: Blend a variety of distress inks over some white card. I’ve chosen ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Shaded Lilac’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’, ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ and ‘Twisted Citron’. Spray water droplets over the card to leave a mottled effect. Alternate blending these inks around the edge of the card to add depth.
2) Live in the Moment/Transmission Glitch: Stamp some of the elements from both stamp sets onto the card background using the same colour distress inks as used for the background. Stamp the dragonflies using Versafine Clair ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink and heat emboss with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Do a repeat stamp of the large dragonfly onto a separate piece of white card in the same way. Fussy cut out and colour with colouring pencils.
3) Birthday Wishes: Stamp the birthday sentiment onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink and heat emboss with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
4) Completion: Finally, layer the background onto white hammered card and a white card blank using acrylic glue before adding the fussy cut out dragonfly using 3D foam mounts. Some wink of stella glitter pen, metallic thread and a few water droplet gems finish off the card.
I really enjoyed making this Birthday card. It’s perfect to wish that special person a very happy day.
