Winter Blues - January 2025 Visible Image ATC Swap

‘Winter Blues’ is the theme for the January 2025 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. For my ATC I chose to use the ‘Let it Snow’, ‘That Lovin’ Feline’ and ‘Knitted’ stamp sets. The die set for ‘That Lovin’ Feline’ and a special edition from another set were also used – can you spot it? 

To begin, I took an ATC sized piece of white card and blended ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Blueprint Sketch’ and ‘Salty Ocean’ distress ink over it. Some water droplets were then added for interest. Next up, the snowflakes from the ‘Let it Snow’ stamp set were stamped onto the ATC using Versamark and heat embossed in Wow opaque superfine bright white embossing powder. To make the ATC sparkle I sprayed some ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress spritz spray over the top. Some white Posca paint splatters were added too.

For the cat, this was stamped onto a white piece of card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The ‘Knitted’ stamp set was stamped over the top of the cat using Versamark and heat embossed with the Wow opaque superfine bright white embossing powder, brushing away any covering areas surrounding the cat. The ‘jumper’ was made using Zig color brush pens with the added elements taken from Father Christmas in the ‘Santa Claus’ stamp set (check out Santa’s boots!).

The sentiment from the ‘That Lovin’ Feline’ stamp set was then stamped onto a small piece of black card using Versamark and heat embossed in Wow opaque superfine bright white embossing powder.

Finally, the cat and sentiment were adhered to the ATC using 3D mounts or acrylic glue. Some sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.
