Snarky Cat Party Tag
For this make I started by taking a size 8 tag by Dina Wakley and smoothing Distress Grit Paste (opaque) through the stars stencil before leaving it to dry. I then stamped some of the media marks around the tag using Versamark and heat embossing with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. I then covered the tag with ‘Black soot’ distress ink and distress oxide ink. A few water droplets were then added for added interest.
Whilst waiting I stamped out one of the Snarky cats with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink onto white card and heat embossed it with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was then coloured in using Distress watercolour pencils and fussy cut out.
The balloons from the Sizzix celebrate sidekick die set were then cut out using white and black card. These and the tag were then sprayed with ‘Fossilized Amber’ and ‘Hickory Smoke’ Distress spritz spray.
The tag was then layered up using an idea-ology quote chip and some embroidery thread underneath the Snarky cat. The tag was then mounted onto some black and white card before a few gems and some ribbon was added.
A really simple little tag with a little reminder to ‘choose to shine’…
