Sketched Holly Wreath
This card has a very clean and simple feel but needs some construction to get the 3D wreath look.
First of all I stamped all the holly onto a piece of A4 white card using Versafine Clair ‘Grass Green’ ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
The holly was then coloured in using a bright green watercolour pencil and then blended with water and a small paintbrush - remembering to leave some white space to add interest to the leaves. The holly was then fussy cut out before edging with a bright green permanent ink pen (Sharpie).
Having piled up the elements the card is ready to assemble. I drew around a small glass in the middle of a square piece of white card using a pencil – although you could easily freestyle your own design. I then built up the wreath using 3D glue to add dimension. Some wink of stella pen was used to add sparkle before some Ranger glossy accents were added to the berries.
Finally, the wreath was glued onto black card and a white card blank. Some water droplets and gems were added for added glitz. I really enjoyed making this ‘Winter Sparkle’ card. It’s perfect to send to any friend to wish them well this festive season.
