Black and White - November 2024 Visible Image ATC Swap
‘Black and White’ is the theme for the November 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. I’m much more used to creating with bright colours so this really was a challenge! For my ATC I also chose to use the ‘Molly Rules’ stamp & die set alongside the sentiment from ‘A Friend Like You’.
To begin, I took an ATC sized piece of black card and stamped the checkerboard element from the ‘Molly Rules’ stamp set onto the ATC using Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink. I then chose some other stamps from the set and added these to the background using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. Some splatters of white acrylic paint were then added for further interest.
Up next, Molly and other elements were stamped onto a piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The items were die cut out and coloured in using a black Zig color brush pen and a black colouring pencil. The sentiment taken from ‘A Friend Like You’ longer verse was stamped onto a piece of black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.
Finally, all elements were adhered to the ATC using 3D mounts. Some sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.
Card
As some of you may have noticed I do like using an array of bright colours in my makes. However, ‘Black and White’ is the theme for the November 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. So this really was a challenge! For the card I sent with the ATC I chose to use the ‘Molly Rules’ stamp & die set alongside the ‘Distorted Chess’ stencil.
To begin, I took a piece of black card and placed the ‘Distorted Chess’ stencil over the top before smoothing Distress opaque grit paste through it. Some Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder was sprinkled over the top before melting with a heat gun. I love the bubbly effect this gives.
Finally, the background was added to some hammered white card (edged with a black pen) and a white card blank. All elements were adhered to the background using 3D mounts. Some sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.
