Autumn Colours - October 2024 Visible Image ATC Swap

‘Autumn Colours’ or ‘Halloween’ are the themes for the October 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. I just love autumn colours so I chose to use the ‘Totally Toadstools’ stamp set & dies alongside ‘Transmission Glitch’ and the ‘Autumn Leaves’ stencil for this month’s ATC creation.

To begin, I sprayed an ATC sized piece of white card with ‘Dried Marigold’, ‘Crackling Campfire’, ‘Spiced Marmalade’ and ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress spray stain. The ‘Autumn Leaves’ stencil was then placed over the top and ‘Candied Apple’ distress ink brushed gently through it. I then stamped the numbers from the ‘Transmission Glitch’ stamp set onto the ATC using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow metallic superfine gold rich embossing powder.

Up next, I stamped the toadstools from the ‘Totally Toadstools’ stamp set onto another piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The toadstools were die cut out and coloured in using colouring pencils. Some glossy accents were used to add dimension. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow metallic superfine gold rich embossing powder. This was then mounted onto a small piece of inky card.

Finally, the toadstools, sentiment were adhered to the ATC using 3D mounts. Some small stars and sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.

October is definitely one of my favourite times of the year – time to dig out the jumpers and the fluffy socks! ‘Autumn Colours’ or ‘Halloween’ are the themes for the October 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. I just love autumn colours so alongside the ATC I made a card using ‘Erica’s Maple’ stamp set alongside the ‘Autumn Leaves’ stencil.

To begin, I sprayed 2 pieces of white card with ‘Dried Marigold’, ‘Crackling Campfire’, ‘Spiced Marmalade’ and ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress spray stain. The ‘Autumn Leaves’ stencil was then placed over the top of one background and ‘Candied Apple’ distress ink brushed gently through it. I then smoothed some Distress translucent crackle paste through the stencil and left this to dry. It creates such a wonderful effect. When this was dry I sprayed some ‘Fired Brick’ distress spritz stain over the top for added glitz.

For the other piece of inky card I stamped a number of the smaller leaves from the ‘Erica’s Maple’ stamp set using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow metallic superfine gold rich embossing powder. These were then fussy cut out and some wink of stella glitter pen added.

Up next, the sentiments from the same stamp set was stamped onto a black card using the same ink and embossing powder before being fussy cut out.

Finally, the leaves and sentiments were adhered using 3D mounts. Some small sparkly gems were also added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.
