'Use your Newest VI Product' - September 2024 Visible Image ATC Swap

‘Use Your Newest VI Product’ was the theme for the September 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. My latest product was the fabulous new stamping blocks so I’ve used these when making the ATC. However, that’s a bit of a cheat so I’ve also used the dinky little ‘Inky Daisy’ stencil alongside my recent purchase of the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp set in the background. The sentiment is taken from the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set.

To begin, I sprayed an ATC sized piece of white card with ‘Shaded Lilac’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress spray stain. I then stamped some of the elements from the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp set onto the background using Hero Arts ‘Unicorn’ white pigment ink. Once dried I laid the ‘Inky Daisy’ stencil over the top and brushed ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress ink through it.

The stencil was placed back over a corner of the ATC and distress grit paste smoothed through it. Some Wow sparkling snow embossing glitter was sprinkled over the top and heat embossed. I love the way the embossing bubbles up when heated – you can see this effect in the end result.

Up next, the sentiment from the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set was stamped onto a piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was mounted onto some multi-coloured card.

Finally, the sentiment and some small sparkly gems were added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks @jane.tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap and I can’t wait till the next one.

I do like to throw some ink onto some card and see the colours emerge. I used one of my latest colourful backgrounds for the ‘Use Your Newest VI Product’ September 2024 ATC swap theme over on the Visible Image Facebook page. My latest product was the fabulous new stamping blocks so I’ve used these when making the card that I sent alongside the ATC. However, that really is cheating so I’ve also used the dinky little ‘Inky Daisy’ stencil alongside my recent purchase of the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp set in the background. The sentiment is taken from the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set.

To begin, I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Twisted Citron’ distress spray stain. I then stamped some of the elements from the ‘Rise and Shine’ stamp set onto the background using Versamark before heat embossing with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. Once dried I laid the ‘Inky Daisy’ stencil over the top of the card 3 times and brushed ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress ink through it.

The stencil was placed into the top centre of the card and distress grit paste smoothed through it. Some Wow sparkling snow embossing glitter was sprinkled over the top and heat embossed. Did you know the embossing powder bubbles up when heated when used over some texture pastes? You can see this effect in the end result.
