Things with Wings - Visible Image ATC Swap - August 2024
ATC
‘Things with Wings’ was the theme for the August 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. Normally, I’d go for a butterfly or other insect but I love the ‘Night Owl’ stamp set too so that’s what I’ve chosen for this challenge.
To begin, I sprayed an ATC sized piece of white card with ‘Fiery Sunset’, ‘Bubblegum Pink’, ‘Pink Flamingo’ and ‘Laidback Lilac’ Dylusions spray inks. I just love the vibrancy of these inks. I then stamped the branch from the ‘Night Owl’ set onto the ATC using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Some white highlights were added using a white gel pen. ‘Black Soot’ distress ink was then brushed around the edge of the ATC.
On a separate piece of card I stamped the owl and sentiment from the same set using the same technique before fussy cutting them out. The sentiment was then mounted onto a small piece of black card.
Finally, the owl and sentiment were layered onto the ATC using 3D mounts. Some white acrylic paint splatters, wink of stella glitter pen and small sparkly gems were added for interest. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap.

Each month I wait with anticipation to see what the theme will be for the Visible Image ATC swap. This month’s theme is ‘Things with Wings’. For the card I sent with the ATC I used the ‘Night Owl’ stamps alongside the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set.
To begin, I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Blue Lagoon’, ‘Island Parrot’, ‘Vanilla Custard’, ‘Fiery Sunset’, ‘Bubblegum Pink’, ‘Pink Flamingo’ and ‘Laidback Lilac’ Dylusions spray inks. These inks are just so bright and cheerful. I then stamped the branch from the ‘Night Owl’ set and the blossom branch from the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
