Purr-Fect Birthday (2)
To begin, I sprayed a circular die cut piece of white card with ‘Spiced Marmalade’, ‘Fossilized Amber’ and ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ distress spray stain. I then sprayed ‘Fossilized Amber distress spritz spray over the top before adding some water droplets.
Up next, I added the party elements from the ‘Purr-Fect Birthday’ stamp set to the background using Versafine Clair ‘Sand Dune’ brown ink. These were then coloured in using a white gel pen. The paws were then stamped in the same way.
On a separate piece of card I stamped one of the cats from the stamp set in Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed this with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder before fussy cutting out. The hat and cat eyes was coloured in using Zig color brush pens. The sentiment was then stamped onto the card background using the same ink.
To create the circular easel card I die cut 2 large circles from some ivory linen card before cutting a smaller circle from gold pearlised card. A line was scored on one piece of ivory card and this was then glued to the other circle to create the easel effect.
Finally, the background was added to the card before the cat was put in position using 3D mounts. Some small sparkly sequins/gems finished the look. A purr-fect birthday card I hope you agree?
