Mr Rabbit

A special birthday deserves a very special card. What better than ‘Mr Rabbit’ courtesy of the utterly fabulous Tim Holtz.

For this make I started by taking a piece of white card and blending ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Shaded Lilac’, ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Twisted Citron’ distress ink onto the card. I then stamped some of the elements from the @StampersAnonymous Media Marks 1 and 2 onto the background using Versafine ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink. Once dried, I placed the alphabet/numbers stencil from the Stampers Anonymous mini stencil set 3 onto the background and smoothed Distress opaque grit paste through it. Some distress oxide sprays in the same colours as the original distress ink were then splattered over the top with some additional ‘Picket Fence’ ink.

On a separate piece of card I stamped ‘Mr Rabbit’ and the numbers from the ’Curiosity Shop’ stamps set using the same grey ink as before. These were then coloured in using Distress watercolour pencils and fussy cut out. The @Sizzix dies were then cut out and some coloured in using distress inks.

Finally, the card was layered up onto black card and a white card blank. An idea-ology quote chip and a few Ranger Glossy Accents and some wink of stella sparkle were added for further interest. I had a great time with this make and I hope you are inspired to create too.
