How does your garden grow? - Visible Image ATC Swap - June 2024

‘How does your garden grow?’ is the theme for the June 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. I was inspired by my cherry tree in the garden and watching all the new fledglings taking flight. For my ATC I chose to use the ‘Calm over Chaos’, ‘Grunge Flourish’, ‘Affirmations’ and ‘Christmas Robin’ stamp sets.

To begin, I blended ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Twisted Citron’ and ‘Mowed Lawn’ over an ATC sized card. Some water was then spritzed over the top. Once dried, I stamped the ‘Grunge Flourish’ onto the bottom of the ATC using Versafine Clair ‘Grass Green’ ink. I then took the cherry blossom stamp from the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set and stamped that at the top of the ATC using Versafine Clair ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink. The small blossoms were then highlighted with a white Posca acrylic paint pen.

On a separate piece of card I then stamped 3 blossoms from the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set as well as one of the smaller robins from the ‘Christmas Robin’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. These were heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder before being coloured in using distress inks, fussy cut out and layered onto the ATC using 3D glue.

The sentiment from the ‘Affirmations’ stamp set was then stamped onto the ATC using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.

Finally, some small water droplet gems were placed on for added dimension. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this month. Thanks Jane Tyrrell for another brilliant ATC swap.

I love this time of year when the cute little fledglings take flight. This inspired my makes for the ‘How does your garden grow?’ June 2024 ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. For the card I made to accompany the ATC I chose to use the ‘Calm over Chaos’, ‘Grunge Flourish’, ‘Cocktails and Dreams’, ‘So Much Stronger’, ‘Antisocial Butterfly’ and ‘Christmas Robin’ stamp sets. I also used the aperture from ‘Art Spheres #1’.

To begin, I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Twisted Citron’ and ‘Mowed Lawn’ distress spray stain. Some water was then spritzed over the top. Once dried, I stamped the ‘Grunge Flourish’ along the bottom of the card using Versafine Clair ‘Grass Green’ ink (1st and 2nd gen). I then took the cherry blossom stamp from the ‘Calm over Chaos’ stamp set and stamped that at the top of the card using Versafine Clair ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink. The small blossoms were then highlighted with a white Posca acrylic paint pen. I then created a moon using the aperture of one of the ‘Art Spheres #1’ stencils using a white colouring pencil.

On a separate piece of card I stamped the blossoms from ‘Calm over Chaos’, a small butterfly from the ‘Antisocial Butterfly’ set, some cherries from ‘Cocktails and Dreams’, as well as all the robins from the ‘Christmas Robin’ stamp set all using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. These were heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder before being coloured in using distress inks, fussy cut out and layered onto the card using 3D glue.

The sentiment from the ‘So Much Stronger’ stamp set was then stamped onto the card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.

Finally, the background was mounted onto some black card and a white card blank. Some wink of stella glitter pen as well as some small water droplet gems were added for interest. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for another great swap. I can’t wait until the next one.
