Mellow Yellow - April 2024 Visible Image ATC Swap

‘Mellow Yellow’ is the theme for the April ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page. I can’t help but think of the Donovan song!! For my ATC I chose to use the ‘Somewhere in Time’, ‘One Kind Word’ and ‘Call Me Maybe’ stamp sets alongside the ‘Glitch Numbers’ stencil.

For the ATC I dipped a piece of white card into ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ and ‘Mustard Seed’ distress oxides that had been sprayed with water. Once dried I placed the ‘Glitch Numbers’ stencil over the top and brushed ‘Antique Linen’ distress oxide through it. I then took the small numbers stamp from the ‘Somewhere in Time’ stamp set and used ‘Mustard Seed’ distress ink to create interest in the background to the atc.

On a separate piece of white card I stamped the telephone from the ‘Call Me Maybe’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink heat embossed them with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Some wink of stella glitter pen was added for some sparkle. This was fussy cut out and added to the atc using 3D mounts.

‘Hello’ from the ‘One Kind Word’ set was then stamped onto the atc using the same black ink and heat embossed in the same way. A couple of hearts were stamped on a separate piece of card and then glued into position.

Finally, small coloured gems were also placed on for added dimension. A bright and cheerful ATC I hope you agree. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for organising another fantastic swap.

They call it ‘Mellow Yellow’!! I really enjoy taking part in the ATC swaps over on the Visible Image Facebook page. Here is the card I made to go with this month’s swap. I chose to use the ‘Somewhere in Time’, ‘One Kind Word’ and ‘Call Me Maybe’ stamp sets alongside the ‘Glitch Numbers’ stencil.

The sentiment from the ‘One Kind Word’ set was then stamped onto a piece of card using the same black ink and heat embossed in the same way. This was fussy cut out and edged with some ‘Mustard Seed’ distress ink before being mounted onto a small piece of black card before being added to the card with some 3D mounts. A few hearts from the same stamp set were stamped on a separate piece of card and then glued into position in the corners of the card.

Finally, small coloured gems were also placed on the sentiment for added dimension. A bright and cheerful ‘Mellow Yellow’ card I hope you agree. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for organising another fantastic swap.
