More Lilies with Love

Some special cards need a distinctive stamp set. That’s why I adore the new ‘Lilies with Love’ stamp set from Visible Image. For this make I’ve teamed up this set with the new ‘Splash’ stencil. This is a perfect card to make if you don’t have much time to create.

To begin, I chose pastel rainbow colours of distress spray stains in ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Shaded Lilac’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’, ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ and ‘Twisted Citron’ and sprayed these onto a white piece of card. I then placed the ‘Splash’ stencil over the top of the card and sprayed water through it to give a faux bleached effect. This left behind the image of the stencil.

I then stamped the main image from the ‘Lilies with Love’ set using Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. The image was then coloured in using white and Faber-Castell polychromos colouring pencils and a wink of stella pen. Next, the sentiment was stamped onto a small piece of black card using Versamark and the same white embossing powder.

Finally, the background was mounted onto black card and a white card blank and a few glittery gems were added for further interest. The perfect little card to send love to someone at any time of year.
