All You Need Is Love - Visible Image ATC Swap - February 2024

ATC

‘All You Need is Love’ is the theme for the February ATC swap over on the Visible Image Facebook page - tying in nicely with it being Valentine’s Day on the 14 February. For my ATC I chose to use ‘Happiness Matters’, ‘Scripted Streets’ and ‘Bee Happy’ stamp sets (dies too).

For the ATC I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Spiced Marmalade’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Dried Marigold’ and ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress spray stain before spritzing with water. I then used ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress ink to stamp the ‘Scripted Streets’ script stamp onto the background. The heart stamp from the ‘Happiness Matters’ stamp set was then stamped onto the background (2nd generation).

On a separate piece of white card I stamped the sentiment and bees from the ‘Bee Happy’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink heat embossed them with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The bees were coloured in using distress water colour pencils before being die cut out. Some wink of stella glitter pen was added for some sparkle. The sentiment was fussy cut out too and edged with ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress ink.

Some more of the hearts were then stamped onto some spare card using ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress ink that had been inked with ‘Saltwater Taffy’ and ‘Spiced Marmalade’ distress spray stains. These were then covered in glossy accents and fussy cut out.

Finally, all the elements were added using acrylic glue or 3D mounts. Some embroidery thread and small coloured gems were also placed on for added dimension. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for organising another fantastic swap.

For the card I sent alongside the ATC I chose to use - ‘Happiness Matters’, ‘Scripted Streets’, ‘A Friend Like You’ and ‘Bee Happy’ stamp sets (dies too) as well as the ‘Flower Ink’ stencil.

To get started, I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Spiced Marmalade’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Dried Marigold’ and ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress spray stain. I then used ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress ink to stamp the ‘Scripted Streets’ script stamp onto the background. The heart stamp from the ‘Happiness Matters’ stamp set was then stamped onto the background (2nd generation) before I placed the ‘Flower Ink’ stencil over the top of the background and inked ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress oxide through it. The background was then covered in distress micro-glaze to leave a shiny effect.
