So Much Stronger

Have you ever stopped to wonder how strong bulbs must be to push up through the soil and grow into beautiful flowers each year? As spring approaches I was inspired and encouraged by this little piece of wisdom… ‘You’re so much stronger that you think!’ For my DT make this week I’ve teamed up this fantastic sentiment from the ‘So Much Stronger’ stamp set with the ‘Spring Awakening’ set both from Visible Image.

I love a bright and cheery card, so I chose distress spray stains in ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Twisted Citron’ and ‘Tumbled Glass’ and sprayed these onto a white piece of card. The inky background was then splattered with water before drying with a heat gun. I then used Versafine Clair inks – ‘Glamorous’, ‘Verdant’ and ‘Warm Breeze’ – to ink up some of the elements from the ‘Spring Awakening’ stamp set to create a vibrant background.

Up next, I stamped the main bloom image from the same set in Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed it with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. I repeated the stamping of the bloom 2 more times using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.

On another piece of white card I stamped the sentiment from the ‘So Much Stronger’ stamp set using the same black ink and heat embossed using the same gloss embossing powder. The card was then edged with Versafine Clair ‘Glamorous’ pink ink before being mounted onto a small piece of black card.

Finally, the background was mounted onto black card and a white card blank. The sentiment was added using 3D mounts and a few glittery gems were added for further interest. A great card if you want to send some encouragement to a friend today.
