Don't Judge - Visible Image January 2024 ATC Swap

January always feels so cold and dreary what better way to brighten the day than with a Visible Image ATC Swap. This month we had free reign over the choice of theme. We could choose from the wide selection of previous titles since the ATC swaps began over in the Visible Image Facebook Group. I chose ‘Rainbow Joy’ for my theme again this month and used the ‘Don’t Judge’ and ‘Grunge Tones’ stamp sets alongside the ‘Words of Support’ stencil.

Getting started, I took an ATC sized piece of white card and sprayed it with ‘Twisted Citron’ ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Shaded Lilac’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’ and ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ distress spray stain before spritzing with water. I then used the same colour in distress inks to stamp some of the ‘Grunge Tones’ stamps onto the background. The ‘Words of Support’ stencil was then placed over the top and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress ink brushed through it.

On a separate piece of white card I stamped the figure and heart from the ‘Don’t Judge’ stamp set using Versamark and heat embossed them with Wow sparkling snow embossing glitter. These were then fussy cut out and the heart coloured in with watercolour pencils. The figure was also coloured in using a wink of stella glitter pen. The small sentiment was then stamped onto the heart with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing it with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The heart was then covered in glossy accents.

Finally, all the elements were added using 3D mounts. Some embroidery thread and small coloured gems were also placed on for added sparkle. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for organising another fantastic swap.

We could choose from the wide selection of previous titles since the ATC swaps began over in the Visible Image Facebook Group. I chose ‘Rainbow Joy’ for my theme again this month and used the ‘Don’t Judge’ and ‘Grunge Tones’ stamp sets alongside the ‘Words of Support’ stencil for the card that went alongside the ATC to my swap partner.

Initially, I took a piece of white card and sprayed it with ‘Twisted Citron’ ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Shaded Lilac’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’ and ‘Squeezed Lemonade’ distress spray stain before spritzing with water. I then used the same colour in distress inks to stamp some of the ‘Grunge Tones’ stamps onto the background. The ‘Words of Support’ stencil was then placed over the top and Distress opaque grit pasted smoothed through it.

Finally, all the elements were added using 3D mounts and the background was mounted onto black card and a white card blank. Some embroidery thread and small coloured gems were also placed on for added sparkle. A bright and cheery positive and motivational card for the new year.
