Christmas Robin

I’ve now completed making all my Christmas cards for 2023 and so I thought I’d share my final make using the ‘Christmas Robin’ stamps and dies and the ‘Let it Snow’ stamp set all from Visible Image.

To begin with I took a piece of white card and brushed it with ‘Speckled Egg’, ‘Weathered Wood’ and ‘Evergreen Bough’ distress ink before spritzing with water. I then used ‘Evergreen Bough’ distress ink to edge the card. Next up I stamped the snowflakes from the ‘Let it Snow’ stamp set onto the background using Versamark before heat embossing with Wow opaque bright white superfine embossing powder. I then dotted some of the tiny snowflakes around the edge of the background using ‘Evergreen Bough’ distress ink to add interest.

On a separate piece of white card I then stamped the elements from the ‘Christmas Robin’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed it with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. These were then die cut out and coloured in with watercolour pencils. The sentiment was then stamped onto a small piece of card with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being fussy cut out, edged in ‘Evergreen Bough’ distress ink and layered onto black card.

After a splattering of some Posca white acrylic paint pen, all the elements were added using 3D mounts. The background was then mounted onto some black card and a white card blank. Finally, some Glossy Accents were added to the holly berries and small coloured gems were also placed on for added sparkle. Another festive little card for Christmas 2023!
