Snowman Jack

 

With less than 6 weeks until the big day I thought I really should get some Christmas cards finished. Here’s one of my latest creations using the fabulous ‘Snowman Jack’. The pesky penguins have stolen some of the presents from the ‘Santa Claus’ set too. I’ve also used the ‘Christmas Wishes’ and ‘Rays of Light’ stamp sets - all from Visible Image.

To begin with I took a white piece of card and sprayed it with ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ and ‘Seedless Preserve’ distress spray stain. This was then dipped into some ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress spray stain and spritzed with water. I then stamped most of the stamps from the ‘Rays of Light’ stamp set onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Monarch’, ‘Charming Pink’ and ‘Purple Delight’.

On a separate piece of card I stamped elements from the ‘Snowman Jack’ and presents from the ‘Santa Claus’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ ink and heat embossed them using Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. These were fussy cut out and coloured in using Zig brush pens and watercolour pencils. A sentiment from the ‘Christmas Wishes’ stamp set was then stamped out using Versafine Clair ‘Purple Delight’ before being heat embossed in the same way. This was then mounted onto a small piece of black card.

All the elements were then added to the card background with 3D mounts or acrylic glue. Finally, the background was layered onto black card and a white card blank. Some sparkle was added using some water droplets and a clear glitter gel pen leaving a fun Christmas card for someone special this festive season.
