Shining Star ATC & Card - November 2023 Visible Image ATC Swap

 ATC

It’s time to get all twinkly as the wintry nights approach for the festive season. ‘Shine Bright’ is November’s ATC swap challenge over on the Visible Image Facebook group. For this theme I’ve chosen to use the ‘Shining Star’ stamp set.

To begin with I took an ATC sized piece of white card and dipped it into ‘Salvaged Patina’, ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Chipped Sapphire’ distress ink that had been spritzed with water. I then used ‘Chipped Sapphire’ to edge the ATC. Next up I stamped the small star cluster from the ‘Shining Star’ stamp set around the edges using Versafine Clair ‘Twilight’ blue ink

On a separate piece of white card I then stamped the small star using Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. I then used the text from the larger star cluster to add interest and inked and embossed in the same way. The star was then fussy cut out and brushed with Brilliance Starlight Silver archival ink as well as a Wink of Stella glitter brush.

The sentiment was then stamped onto a small piece of black card with Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder before fussy cutting out.

Finally, all the elements were added using 3D mounts and small coloured gems added. It really is starting to feel a bit festive!

To begin with I took a piece of white card and dipped it into ‘Prize Ribbon’, ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Salvaged Patina’, ‘Peacock Feathers’ and ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress spray stain. A light spritz of water was then added over the top before some ‘Chipped Sapphire’ distress ink was blended around the edge of the card.

Using Versafine Clair ‘Twilight’ blue ink I stamped the small star cluster around the card. The small star and ‘Star’ was then added to the background with the same ink (2nd generation). I then took the large star and stamped this into the centre of the card using Versamark before heat embossing with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.

On a separate piece of card I then re-stamped and embossed the large star in the same way. Some Brilliance Starlite Silver archival ink was then brushed over the top and a Wink of Stella Pen added for extra sparkle. This was then fussy cut out and added to the card.

The sentiment was then stamped onto a piece of black card with Versamark and also heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. This was then fussy cut out and layered onto some metallic silver card before putting on top of the sparkling star.

Finally, the background was added to some black card and a frame and some gems added for a bit of Christmas sparkle. Something a bit special for the incoming festive season I hope you agree?
