Snarky Cat Pumpkin Card

I’ve so many birthday cards to make this month so today I ventured back into Tim Holtz  territory with the fabulous ‘Snarky Cat’.

For this make I started by taking a piece of white card and dipping it into ‘Lost Shadow’ distress ink. Once dried, I edged the card in the same ink and then stamped one of the Stampers Anonymous ‘Vines and Roses’ stamps onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink (2^nd generation). ‘Hickory Smoke’ distress ink was then brushed through the Stampers Anonymous brick mini-stencil in various places on the card.

I then took another piece of white card and smooshed it into ‘Ripe Persimmon’, ‘Carved Pumpkin’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’, ‘Spiced Marmalade’, ‘Picked Raspberry’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress oxides that had been spritzed with water. (Drying between each layer.) The pumpkin stamp from the Stampers Anonymous ‘Snarky Cat – Halloween’ (CMS407) was then stamped onto the card with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. These were then fussy cut out. One of the snarky cats from the same set was then stamped onto white card using the same ink and heat embossed in the same way. The cat was then coloured in with colouring pencils before being fussy cut out.

Finally, the card was layered up onto black card and a white card blank. The spider, an idea-ology quote chip and a few gems were added for further definition. A lovely little autumnal birthday card all set to send out this October.
