Curious Cats - October 2023 Visible Image ATC Swap
‘Halloween Colours’ is October’s ATC
swap challenge over on the Visible Image Facebook group. As I don’t
celebrate Halloween but do love purples, oranges and greens I thought I’d have
a little tinker with these colours and the brilliant ‘Curious Cats’. I also decided to use ‘Knitted’ and ‘Ericka’s
Maple’ for some background stamping.
To begin with I took an ATC sized piece of white card and stamped the two smaller cats and the word ‘Curious’ from the stamp set in Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. I then used Versamark for the ‘Knitted’ and small leaves from the ‘Ericka’s Maple’ set to add texture to the background. This was heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.
The ATC was then dipped in ‘Old Paper’ and ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress spray stain before some ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress ink was blended in the centre of the ATC. I then stamped some of the whiskers around the edge of the card in ‘Old Paper’ and ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink.
Finally, some small clear gems were glued onto the ATC. I’m quite delighted about how these colours all blended together. Thanks to Jane Tyrrell for organising another fantastic swap.
