Curious Cats Card - October 2023 Visible Image ATC Swap
‘Halloween Colours’ is the theme for
October’s ATC swap challenge over on the Visible Image Facebook group. As
I don’t celebrate Halloween but do love animals I thought I’d use the fabulous
‘Curious Cats’ stamp set to go alongside the ATC. I also used ‘Knitted’ and ‘Ericka’s Maple’
for some background stamping.
To begin with I took a piece of white card and stamped the cat face, whiskers and the words ‘Stay Curious’ from the stamp set in Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. I then used Versamark for the ‘Knitted’ and small leaves from the ‘Ericka’s Maple’ set to add texture to the background. This was heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.
The card was then dipped in ‘Old Paper’ and ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress spray stain and the same colours of distress ink were then blended around the edge of the card. The eyes and nose of the cat were then coloured in with colouring pencils before some glossy accents and clear gel pen were added.
Finally, the background was added to some black card and a white card blank and some gems were also added for a bit of autumnal sparkle.
