Total Chaos

The summer has been a bit of a washout here in the UK. So, with those grey skies hanging about I was inspired to do a quick CAS inspired card using the ‘Total Chaos’ & ‘Affirmations’ stamp sets alongside the ‘Count Me In’ stencil – all from Visible Image.

To begin with I took a piece of white card and stamped the main flower and leaf from the ‘Total Chaos’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. Once stamped, I heat embossed it with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The images were then coloured in using pastel Faber-Castell Goldfaber aqua pencils.

Next, the ‘Count Me In’ stencil was placed over the top of the background and ‘Lost Shadow’ distress ink was blended partially through it around the flower. Other elements from the ‘Total Chaos’ set were then stamped around the edges of the card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow opaque bright white embossing powder.

The sentiment from the ‘Affirmations’ stamp set was then stamped onto a small piece of black card and added to the background using 3D mounts.

Finally, the creation was put onto black card and a white card blank and a few water droplets glued into position. Some sparkle was also added using a Wink of Stella pen. Let’s hope the summer sunshine arrives again soon!
