Life is Beautiful
To begin with I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Spiced Marmalade’ and ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress spray stain. The main ‘Life is Beautiful’ hummingbird image was then stamped in the centre of the card with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Next, the ‘Halftone’ stencil was placed over the top of the background and ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress ink was blended through it. The same ink was then blended around the edge of the card. Elements from the ‘Daisy Grunge’ and ‘Life is Beautiful’ set were then stamped onto the background using ‘Spiced Marmalade’ distress ink and Versafine Clair ‘Charming Pink’ ink (2nd gen). The sentiment was stamped using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
On a separate piece of card I re-stamped the main hummingbird image with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was then fussy cut out and coloured in using Zig Color Clean brushes. I repeated this for the main flower from the ‘Daisy Grunge’ set and added some wink of stella glitter pen for some added sparkle.
Finally, the elements and a few water droplet gems were added to the main card with some acrylic glue or 3D mounts. The background was then put onto black card and a white card blank. A lovely and bright birthday card for those special occasions this summer I hope you agree?
