Ye Olde Christmas

Wait, what’s this? Christmas in July is nearly over. Thankfully, there’s still time to get ready for this year’s festive season. For this make I’ve teamed the new ‘Ye Olde Christmas’ stencil with the ‘Poinsettia Grunge’ stamp set all from Visible Image.

To begin with I took a white piece of card and sprayed it with ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress spray stain. Some ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink was then used around the edge of the card. Next, the stencil was added over the top of the background and some Distress opaque grit paste spread through it. I then stamped the small poinsettia image from the ‘Poinsettia Grunge’ set into the corners of the background with Versafine Clair ‘Charming Pink’ ink.

On a separate piece of card I stamped the sentiment and 3 of the large poinsettia images using the same Versafine ink and heat embossed using Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The flowers were then fussy cut out and coloured in using Zig brush pens and a wink of stella pen. The sentiment was blended with some ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink and mounted onto some black card.

All the elements were then added to the card background with 3D glue. Finally, the background was layered onto black card and a white card blank before a few sparkly gems were added.
