Don't Let the Rain Dull your Sparkle
This July I took part in the
Visible Image ATC swap over on its Facebook group. I had great fun with
the ‘The Holiday Season’ theme and made a card to go alongside the ATC. I took inspiration from the really unreliable British weather! I
really enjoyed this theme and used a range of Visible Image products for
the card including ‘Sparkle in the Rain’, ‘Round in Circles’, ‘Catching Dreams’
and ‘Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist’ stamp sets.
To begin with I poured some really sparkly Jane Davenport pearlescent Starpower inks down a white piece of card before spraying with water. Once dried, I stamped the main image from the ‘Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist’ set onto the card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was then outlined with white gel pen before some additional grunge splatters from the ‘Catching Dreams’ set were added in the same way.
Next up, I stamped some of the circles from the ‘Round in Circles’ stamp set onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Monarch’ purple and ‘Charming Pink’ inks (2nd generation). ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress ink was then used to edge the card before the sentiment from the ‘Sparkle in the Rain’ set was added using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
Finally, the background was added to some black card and a white card blank before some water droplet gems were glued onto the card.
