Curious Cats at Christmas
For the background, the cat face and whiskers from the ‘Curious Cats’ set was stamped onto a piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. I then dipped the card into ‘Lost Shadow’ distress oxide that had been smooshed onto a craft mat with water. This was then dried with a heat gun. Using ‘Lost Shadow’ distress ink I brushed around the edges of the card before brushing through the ‘Bubbles & Fizz’ stencil surrounding the cat’s whiskers. The eyes and nose of the cat face were then coloured in with colouring pencils.
Next, the ‘Snowflake Grunge’ snowflakes were stamped onto the background using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow opaque bright white embossing powder. The large snowflakes were then coloured in using a white posca pen and a wink of stella glitter pen. The sentiment was then stamped onto a spare piece of white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.
Finally, the background was put onto black card, hammered white card and a white card blank before some sparkle was added using gems and glossy accents for the cat’s eyes. The sentiment was also mounted onto black card and added to the background using 3D mounts. The purr-fect snowy Christmas card for 2023 I hope you agree?
