Afternoon Tea Tag

 

There’ll be some special celebrating very soon, so for my DT make this week I’ve made a little birthday tag using the ‘Afternoon Tea’ and ‘Blow Out the Candles’ stamp sets - both available from Visible Image.

To begin, I took a white Dina Wakley size 8 tag and sprayed it with ‘Old Paper’ and ‘Uncharted Mariner’ distress spray stain. ‘Old Paper’ distress ink was then blended around the edge of the tag before some water droplets were splattered over the background. Some distress spritz spray (‘Peeled Paint’ and ‘Uncharted Mariner’) and white Posca acrylic paint splats finish the tag background.

Next up, the elements from the ‘Afternoon Tea’ stamp set were stamped onto some white card using Versafine Clair ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Colour was added using ‘Old Paper’, ‘Uncharted Mariner’ and ‘Vintage Photo’ distress ink before fussy cutting out. The flowers from the same set were stamped onto the tea-ware using ‘Uncharted Mariner’ distress ink and highlighted with a wink of stella glitter pen.

The tea effects and sentiment from the ‘Blow Out the Candles’ stamp set were stamped onto white card using Versafine Clair ‘Acorn’ brown ink before being fussy cut out and edged in either ‘Old paper’ or ‘Vintage Photo’ distress ink. These were then mounted onto black card.

Finally, the tag was added to some black card. The tea elements and sentiments were added to the tag using acrylic glue and 3D mounts. Some sparkly gems were added alongside some woollen threads to finish off the vintage feel birthday tag.
