Make Some Noise Tag

 

It's been very exciting recently with the release of a brand new music stamp, stencil and die collection from Visible Image. For my DT make this week I’ve chosen to use the fabulous ‘Make Some Noise’ stamp set alongside the amazing ‘Fluid’ stamp set and ‘Melody Wave’ die to tie in with the ‘Grunge’ theme.

To begin, I took a white Dina Wakley size 8 tag and sprayed it with ‘Weathered Wood’ and ‘Stormy Sky’ distress spray stain. ‘Weathered Wood’ distress ink was then blended around the edge of the tag before some water droplets were splattered over the background.

Next up, the ‘Fluid’ stamp set was stamped onto the tag using Versamark before heat embossing with Wow superfine metallic silver embossing powder. I love this stamp so much - it’s so perfectly grungy. The spots from the ‘Make Some Noise’ stamp set were then stamped randomly on the background using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. Additional stamping of one of the sentiments from the same set using Versafine Clair ‘Twilight’ blue ink added further interest to the background. Posca paint and distress spritz splay splatters finish off the tag background nicely.

For the focal element I stamped the drummer onto a separate piece of white card with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The drummer was coloured with Visible Image Chameleon Watercolours before being fussy cut out. The sentiment was then stamped onto black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder.

Finally, the tag was added to some black card. The drummer, music die and sentiment were added to the tag using 3D mounts or acrylic glue. Some sparkly gems were added alongside some threads to finish off the grungy tag.
