Mr Frostie

 

When I saw ‘Mr Frostie’ I knew we were going to become very inky together. He is just perfect for those Christmas tags. Here’s one I made for a crafty group swap using an array of Tim Holtz goodies.

I started by taking a white Dina Wakley tag and sprayed ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Stormy Sky’, distress spray stain ink onto it. Some distress grit paste was then smoothed through the Christmas words from the Stampers Anonymous mini stencil collection (set 18). When dried I sprayed some ‘Hickory Smoke’ and ‘Salty Ocean’ distress spritz spray over the top. A snowflake from ‘Mr Frostie’ was stamped in Versafine Clair ‘Twilight’ around the edge of the tag.

Next up, I die cut out one of the Sizzix ‘Funky Wreaths’ alongside some ‘Holiday Greens’ from some white card.

‘Mr Frostie’ and the little robin were then stamped onto some white card using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. They were then coloured in with watercolour pencils and a water brush.

Finally, all the elements were added to the tag using 3D or acrylic glue. Some black card, mini sparkly gems and grey furry ribbon were added to finish the tag with a flourish.
