Have a Try-Mendous Day

 

This brand new ‘Try-Mendous Day’ stamp set from Visible Image is the perfect set for those rugby fans this year. For this make I’ve teamed up the stamp and die set with ‘Forever Love’ (check out those roses – perfect for those England supporters!) and ‘Best Birthday Ever’.

For the background I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Twisted Citron’ and ‘Mowed Lawn’ distress spray stains. I then went around the edge of the card with the same colours in distress ink. To add interest to the background I stamped some of the elements from the ‘Try-Mendous Day’ stamp set using ‘Twisted Citron’ and ‘Mowed Lawn’ distress ink. I then added the words and small roses from the ‘Forever Love’ stamp set onto the background using ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress ink and Hero Arts unicorn white pigment ink.

The large rose from the ‘Forever Love’ stamp set was then stamped onto the background in Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. This was repeated onto a separate piece of card inked with ‘Candied Apple’ distress ink and fussy cut out.

The main rugby player from the ‘Try-Mendous Day’ set was then stamped onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. A few splatters of Posca acrylic white paint were then added over the top. The image was then stamped again onto another piece of card in the same way before being die cut out. A small rose from ‘Forever Love’ was heat embossed using white embossing powder onto the player too.

Finally, the sentiment from the ‘Best Birthday Ever’ set was stamped onto the background with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. The background was then mounted onto black card and a white card blank. The rose and rugby player were added using 3D mounts. What a great way to wish that rugby mad friend a very happy birthday this year.
