Lilies With Love

There are times when you just need a card to say I’m thinking of you. This brand new ‘Lilies with Love’ stamp and matching die set from Visible Image are perfect for those moments.

Up first, I chose distress spray stains in ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Saltwater Taffy’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ and sprayed these onto a white piece of card. The inky background was then spritzed with water before drying with a heat gun. I then stamped the main image from the ‘Lilies with Love’ set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed it with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The image was then coloured in using white and pink Faber-Castell polychromos colouring pencils, a wink of stella pen and a white gel pen.

I then repeated the stamping of the lily on another piece of white card and added the sentiment using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. These were heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. The flower heads were then die cut out and coloured in using ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress ink and the same pencils/pens used to colour in the image on the main background. Next, the sentiment was cut out and edged with the same distress ink and backed onto a small piece of black card before some sparkle was added using a wink of stella pen.

Finally, the background was mounted onto black card and a white deckled DL card blank. The flower heads and sentiment were added using 3D mounts and a few glittery gems were added for further interest. A fab card to send to a friend to say you are thinking of them this Spring.
