Christmas Tree Grunge (2)

Not long to go until the big day. I’m still knee deep in preparations but thought I’d share another of the Christmas cards I’ve made this year. For this make I’ve used the fabulous ‘Christmas Tree Grunge’ and 'Christmas Wishes' stamp sets from Visible Image.

To begin with I took a white piece of card and dabbed this into ‘Shaded Lilac’, ‘Wilted Violet’ and ‘Villainous Potion’ distress inks. Once dried, elements from the ‘Christmas Tree Grunge’ set were stamped onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Purple Delight’ and ‘Charming Pink’ inks. The large tree was stamped onto the background using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow bright white opaque superfine embossing powder. Some of the elements were then coloured in using a sparkly gel pen.

On another piece of card brushed with ‘Lost Shadow’ distress ink I stamped the sentiment from 'Christmas Wishes' using Versafine Clair 'Purple Delight' plus the Christmas trees using the Versamark once again and heat embossed with Wow bright white opaque superfine embossing powder before fussy cutting them out. Some wink of stella glitter pen was then added to add some sparkle.

All the elements were then added to the card background with 3D mounts. Finally, the background was layered onto black card and a white card blank before a few sparkly gems were added. Happy Christmas everyone!
